Journey through San Sebastián with a local guide on this culture and tapas tour and learn all about the culture of Basque country through its delicious flavors and experiencing the city first-hand.
Our San Sebastián walking and food tour starts with a wander through the Old Town, absorbing the atmosphere, and learning the need-to-know about the culture and history of the city. It’s imperative that you know the background of what you’re about to experience; for instance, do you know what a sagardotegi or sociedad gastronomica is? Not to worry, your local guide tells you all you need to know, and more!
Once you’re a master of Basque culture, it’s only appropriate that we dive right in and immerse you in the culture of bars, socializing, and pintxos! We take you out of the Old Town to the bars where locals not only enjoy their pintxos but also relax and meet with friends. Taste some of the most important flavors of Basque cuisine (including some dishes prepared by pintxo competition winners!), as well as local wines. The pintxos we present to you are the best reflection of modern Basque gastronomy: They preserve the heritage of tastes and flavors of Basque cuisine while the presentation is like a modern piece of art (tasty, tasty art…).

Gran recorrido gastronómico en San Sebastián. Nuestro viaje a San Sebastián en octubre. 14 tuvo un gran comienzo con un recorrido gastronómico dirigido por Sheranie van Hassel. Visitamos los restaurantes de Pintxos en el casco antiguo y Gros, aprendimos sobre el idioma vasco y la cultura, así como la historia del área. ¿Quién sabía que había tanto surf? Pinchos tour of San Sebastián with Carlos. We booked the Pinchos tour – 3 bars , 5 Pinchos and 3 drinks . Very enjoyable evening and Carlos our guide was very knowledgable , friendly and good fun . He took us to 3 bars with excellent food – 2 in the old part of the city and one Across the river . The whole tour lasted approx 3 hours and Carlos recommendations of the Pinchos were “ spot on “ . I would definitely recommend this tour as great value for money and a good way to find out where to find the best Pinchos.
