Your San Sebastián cycle adventure begins in the historic street of Reyes Católicos. After meeting your guide and getting acquainted with your new wheels, we’ll head towards the historic Santa Catalina bridge, the first bridge to be built in the city.
Next, we’ll glide through one of the city’s busiest and hippest neighbourhoods: Gros. Here, we’ll take time to mingle with the locals and we’ll show you where to find the best people-watching spots.
At Cataluña Plaza you’ll learn about life in the city, as you’re guide talks about the cost of living in this popular local neighbourhood.
As you cycle, we’ll enjoy stunning views of the Bay of Biscay and admire the brave surfers along Zurriola beach. We will also pass by one of the most important and controversial buildings in San Sebastián, Kursaal — boasting a glamourous history.
We’ll follow the contemporary Boulevard that separates the Old Town from the new part of the city and head towards La Concha beach, one of Europe’s most beautiful beaches where we’ll stop to appreciate the views. Learn why there are so many small trees in this area, and how a local legend connects San Sebastián with Japan.
The bidegorri bike path is next; we’ll follow the route along La Concha beach up to the palace of Queen Maria Cristina, before arriving at one of the locals’ favourite beaches in the city: Ondarreta.
From there, your San Sebastián sightseeing bike tour takes you to the end of the bay, where nature meets civilisation. Discover some Basque modern art before veering through one of the city’s oldest, most authentic neighbourhoods and toward a “secret passage” that connects two parts of the city. Ride through districts that show the many faces of San Sebastián, from the workers’ city to the aristocratic belle époque of the past. Follow the Urumea River back to the city centre, passing villas and bourgeois palaces.
Our tour ends here. If you are hungry, Reyes Catolicos is a great place to find some food. Or join our Pintxo tour! Before you go, don’t forget to ask your expert local guide for tips for the rest of your trip.

Fantastic way to start your stay! We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived and discovered that our Basque bike tour of San Sebastián was aboard e-bikes. This made our 11yo son’s whole vacation and in fact we all had a blast speeding along and covering the whole of the San Sebastián territory and history, end to end. Angel was an amazing guide who shared the best details, photo stops and areas of interest with us. It was a really great way to start a 20 day vacation, even during these crazy times of COVID. We felt very safe, socially distanced and all kept our masks on for the whole journey. Highly recommend this trip.

Wonderful bike tour San Sebastian! We have had a very nice and well organized electric bike tour with Carlos. Carlos is an excellent guide and he told us so much about the city, history and local insights. Besides this the brought us to wonderful spots and places. We have had a great day!

Bike tour through San Sebastián! The bike tour was a really great thing to do with our teenage boys. They especially liked the electric bike which made the whole trip very easy. It is a great way to see and get to learn about the city and we loved it!

Bike Tours are the WAY to go!! It was a great way to explore the city and get some local insight. It gave an aspect to San Sebastian that we wouldn’t have seen (or known) otherwise. I have done a bike tour in NYC Central Park twice and now I feel it’s the only way to go when exploring and navigating a new city.
